Maren Kravitz, Co-Owner

​In 2009, Maren co-founded The Training Room. Since then, her commitment to her clients and the community has never wavered. As a personal trainer and fitness instructor, she strives to find the most effective method of training with limited time. A former endurance runner, she has completed 22 marathons and one ultramarathon. She now combines fitness with her passion for travel. She biked the French and Spanish Pyrenees in 2014, cycled parts of the Tour de France in 2016, and recently rode the Cols in Majorca.

Tyler Cote, Co-Owner

Tyler has over 10 years of experience in the fitness field, as well as a degree in Exercise Science. His strong passion to care for others is what’s allowed him to be successful. While at The Training Room he has specialized in on-boarding new members and helped guide them towards a healthier lifestyle. He feels most proud of the ability to continually develop and support our amazing trainers to help others everyday. Tyler is a NSCA and FMS certified personal trainer.

Rich Malloy

Rich, a native of Concord, Massachusetts, has nearly a decade of coaching experience. Over that time, he has built a philosophy rooted in his own experiences, ranging from competitive weightlifting to an 85lb weight loss. He loves to make fitness fun and help people achieve their goals, whether they are weight loss, mastering the deadlift, or both. Personal training is his life–no really. On the side, he enjoys bowhunting, fly fishing and cooking.

Jenny Cunha

​Fitness has been a part of Jenny’s life since high school. She’s an experienced mid- and long distance runner, having participated in multiple half and full marathons, including the Boston Marathon in 2013. She discovered strength training in 2013, and it made such an impact in her life that she made a career change to help other people enjoy the same results. Her goal is to help her clients attain their goals and become the strongest, healthiest and happiest version of themselves!

Hua Chin

​Hua’s athletic career began at a very young age. By the time she was 17 years old, she broke the 100m (track) national record for Singapore and qualified for the Olympics. However, due to sudden and serious injuries, she was unable to compete. After a year of feeling as if something was missing, she set her sights on endurance events. Hua has since run the Boston Marathon 6 times with a PR of 2:48 and currently competes in Ironman triathlons, qualifying for both the 70.3 and Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. Because of her personal experience with injuries, she knows the importance of good form and safe training; she is adamant about using them to help clients reach their goals. So whether you’re a high level athlete looking for injury prevention and performance or a weekend warrior looking for help, this “pocket rocket” is always willing and happy to help.

Wes Luce

Wes became a certified functional strength coach (CFSC) and joined The Training Room in 2018 to share his passions for health and fitness with others. His aim is to help other achieve their vision of a healthy lifestyle. Coming from an athletic background, fitness has always been a large part of Wes’ life. He knows firsthand how much positivity strength training can bring to daily routines. With this in mind, Wes provides encouragement and opportunity while empowering his clients with the tools to succeed on their wellness journey. When not training, Wes loves to ski, hike and garden. He also loves to cook and explore culinary adventures.

Michael Conway

Mike has been an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer since 2014. A former tennis and boxing coach, he has always had a passion for movement and health. Throughout his years as an athlete he tore his ACL multiple times, he uses this experience to safely and effectively work around injuries with clients, and to focus on injury prevention and joint health. After graduating from Trinity College with a degree in Spanish, Mike spent some time teaching English in Spain and backpacking South America, growing a strong passion for travel as well. Mike is a certified kettlebell, barbell, body weight, Indian Club, and Functional Range Conditioning instructor who prioritizes movement and strength.

Erin Woods

Erin’s fitness journey started early. At just two years old, she was dancing at her mom’s dance studio. In high school, Erin started working out and strength training on her own. She fell in love with exercise and its infinite benefits. Erin pursued a BS in Exercise Science at Salem State University and completed internships in physical therapy, personal training, and fitness. As a personal trainer, Erin believes that movement should be celebrated; everyone deserves to move, regardless of body type or skill level. Erin helps others build confidence and strength that can support their everyday lives. Erin is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer.

 

Greg Kinlan

Greg, a proud native of Cambridge, spent his formative years in Porter Square, just blocks away from the Training Room Gym. A former product designer turned NASM certified personal trainer, Greg is on a mission to empower individuals of all fitness levels to enhance their physical health and athletic performance. With a lifelong passion for athletics and fitness, Greg is dedicated to helping clients achieve their wellness goals through a personalized, approachable, and functional training approach. Outside of strength training, Greg enjoys endurance training and volunteers for United in Stride as a guide for visually impaired runners. You might catch him playing basketball in Somerville, skiing or hiking in NH and ME, strolling around the Esplanade, delving into psychology and health books, or whipping up nutritious meals in the kitchen.
